Job Summary: The Advanced PracticeProvider (APP) in Urgent Care will provide diagnostic and therapeutichealth care to patients through assessment, diagnosis, and treatment incollaboration with a designated PHMG physician. This role involvesmanaging patient care from birth to geriatric age, focusing on acuteillnesses within the ambulatory care setting. Responsibilities: Conductpatient assessments, diagnoses, and treatments for individuals frombirth to geriatric age. Obtain and document comprehensive medicalhistories according to PHMG standards, state regulations, andcollaborative agreements. Interpret and evaluate patient care data todetermine appropriate management and treatment plans. Order andinterpret diagnostic studies relevant to clinical specialty and performminor and routine procedures. Encourage patient participation in theircare through counseling, education, and discussion of treatment optionsand outcomes. Coordinate referral services and manage a variety ofancillary services. Prescribe, recommend, and regulate pharmacologic andnon-pharmacologic therapies, including controlled substances aswarranted. Consult with supervising physician as necessary. Documentpatient encounters, assessments, and communications in a timely manner.Provide clinical direction and delegation to nursing staff, ensuringfollow-through on patient care recommendations.
