Job Description
A leading academic medical center in Northern New Jersey is currently seeking a licensed Physician Assistant (PA) to join their Neurosurgery team across two major sites. This is a flexible, full-time locum opportunity offering a mix of inpatient and outpatient care.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 8am to 4:30pm
- Setting: 50% inpatient, 50% outpatient
Responsibilities:
- Providing clinical support in both inpatient and outpatient neurosurgical settings
- Conducting pre- and post-operative assessments
- Assisting with inpatient neurosurgical procedures
- Collaborating with Neurosurgeons and Clinical teams across both campuses
- Maintaining accurate clinical documentation and managing follow-up care plans
- Performing other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of Physician Assistant experience, preferably in Neurosurgery or a surgical specialty
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant (PA) program
- Current NJ Physician Assistant (PA) license
- Active and up-to-date CDS and DEA
- NPI number required
- Prior experience in a Trauma-level Hospital
- Strong EMR and clinical documentation skills
- Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities
- Ability to travel between two hospital locations (within proximity)

- Neurosurgical experience
- Experience with Inpatient procedures
- Flexibility to adjust to changing needs and call schedules
- Ability to work independently while maintaining collaboration
