Here are Details -

Position: Nurse Practitioner (FNP, AGNP, or ENP)

Schedule: 2 or 3 Weekday Shifts (Monday-Friday), 3PM-11PM

Location: Norfolk City Jail, Norfolk, VA

Pay Rate: Starting at $45,000-$65,000 per year, and increasing commensurate with experience

Responsibilities:

• Conduct H&Ps, make diagnoses, and order appropriate treatment

• Accept staffing assignments and perform other related duties as required

• Promote quality assurance standards through thoroughness and completeness of tasks

• Develop and maintain professional relationships with patients, visitors, medical personnel and corrections staff

• Respect confidentiality of patient medical information/history

• Promote good working relationships among staff and between other disciplines and departments

• Provide leadership to other staff

• Promote excellence in patient care

• Assume individual accountability for own conduct and maintenance professionalism

• Participate in medical activities in corrections which promote the growth and development of medical professional staff and/or patient care

• Approach changes in a positive manner, motivate staff to work as a team, accept constructive criticism and learn from it

• Participate in On-Call Coverage as assigned by the facility and/or company needs

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Master's program in a clinical discipline that prepared you for APRN, ARNP, CNS, or equivalent

• Must hold Commonwealth of Virginia License to practice Advanced Nursing; and be eligible, or hold, DEA Registration

• Be Board Certified in the appropriate discipline

• Active CPR/BLS certificate required (American Heart Association/American Red Cross guideline approved) prior to start date
