Presbyterian Medical Group seeks a nurse practitioner or physician assistant to join our established practice in Albuquerque, New Mexico. We're all about well-being, starting with yours. Practice Highlights:
- Primary assist in GYN surgical cases
- Inpatient rounding
- Post op discharge patient education
- Full scope GYN surgery including robotics
Summary:Assists Physicians during GYN surgeries. Post operatively rounds on patients and manages patient care
Responsibilities:
- Serves as first assist to OB/GYN surgeons during GYN surgeries for major and minor cases, including robotic surgery, in hospital OR and ASC setting.
- Serves as Floor APC to start patient rounds and visit and manage patients, as needed.
- Prepares post op patient for discharge (prescriptions, teaching, post-surgical teaching) and dictates discharge summaries.
- Checks all outstanding labs on in house patients.
- May be responsible for seeing post op patients in office, as needed.
- May be responsible for seeing pre-op patients in office and ensuring H & P s, data sheets, pre op orders & labs completed, as needed.
- Performs other functions as required.
Other information:For Nurse Practitioner - Masters degree in Nursing, New Mexico Nurse Practitioner license, federal and state DEA license and ANCC certification required. Minimum of one year experience preferred but not required. Surgical robot certification preferred but not required.
For Physician Assistant - Baccalaureate prepared CAHEA Certified Physician Assistant or two (2) years working experience as a Certified Physician Assistant, and licensed by the New Mexico Board of Medical Examiners required. Minimum of one year experience preferred but not required. Surgical robot certification preferred by not required.
