People need care for their hands and upper extremities - you would be a huge impact on their health care journey! As an advanced practice provider (APP) in our orthopedic clinic, you would provide medical treatment to patients in their initial time of need. You'll provide patient care and support from the time the patient first walks into the clinic and throughout their healthcare journey. What would you do as an Advanced Practice Provider?

You can expect to regularly:

• Assess and treat orthopedic injuries or conditions that may require procedures, referral, or further evaluation by an orthopedic surgeon or other health care professional;
• Evaluation of defined initial approach to elicit a detailed and accurate history, perform an appropriate examination, delineate problems, and record data;
• Make diagnoses and decisions about management and treatment of patient conditions;
• Perform diagnostic workups involved in performance and interpretation of common laboratory, radiological and other procedures;
• Order, prescribe, dispense, and administer medication and orthopedic devices as may allowed by state legislation.

Requirements

• Active Nevada professional license with no license restrictions (PA or NP).
• Nurse Practitioners must be certified to see patients of all ages (FNP) AND licensed to perform as first assist (CSFA).

Preferred Qualifications - How can you set yourself apart from other applicants?

• Two years of experience working as a PA/NP in an orthopedic hospital/clinic setting;
• Experience in a surgical setting.

Travel: This position may require travel based on clinic and surgery needs.

One position will be working 4.5 days in the clinic with a team of two physicians while the other position will be 3-4 days in the clinic with flexibility in the schedule and one day in the operating room per week with a team of a physician and an APP.
